UTICA/ROME -- Jim Rondenelli has delivered his final newscast on Newsradio 950 WIBX. In a Facebook post on Monday afternoon, Rondenelli said his position was a "victim of 'restructuring'" at the Townsquare Media station, after "almost 28 years" on the job.

Former WIBX reporter files discrimination suit

UTICA-ROME -- Former WIBX 950 news anchor Jeanette Lenoir is reportedly suing WIBX parent Townsquare Media, after obtaining a "Notice of Right to Sue" from the U. S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Lenoir alleges she was paid less than white colleagues, overlooked for promotional opportunities and was fired without explanation in 2012.

SYRACUSE and UTICA -- At least two former Syracuse TV reporters enjoyed victories on election night. Jean Kessner was re-elected to the Syracuse Common Council. Stefan Mychajliw was re-elected as Erie County Comptroller in his hometown of Buffalo. And in Utica, longtime WIBX "Auto Talk" host Ed Welsh was re-elected to the Oneida County Legislature.
