Ryno, who has been doing mornings for Galaxy Communications sister station modern rock KRock (WKRL/WKRH), is pulling double duty as TK’s new night jock. SYRACUSE — Kudos to the crew at K-Rock (WKRL/WKRH) on being named “Modern Rock Station of the Year” by national trade publication FMQB. The award was based on votes cast by members of the radio and record industries. K-Rock, owned locally by Galaxy Communications, was up against other “secondary market” contenders, stations in markets ranked 51-100. [More »]

SYRACUSE — A better view of the stages and private “passholder-only” bars are just some of the perks being offered through a new “Platinum Pass” for K-Rockathon 16, later this month at the New York State Fairgrounds. Updated 8:30pm with KRock Press Release – SYRACUSE — Stone Temple Pilots will headline KRockathon 16 next month at the New York State Fairgrounds. The announcement was made this afternoon by Rainman. Tickets for the July 30 event go on sale this Saturday. The 13-band lineup includes several other national recording artists like Seether, Bush and Dropkick Murphys.
