SYRACUSE — There are some slight changes to the air talent lineup at MOViN’ 100.3/96.5 (WMVN) effective today. In addition to the previously-reported arrival of Brandon C., the station has revamped other parts of its weekday schedule, including the morning show.

SYRACUSE — Clear Channel country station B104.7 (WBBS) is once again among the nominees for the Country Music Association Awards. This year, the station is in the running for “CMA Radio Station of the Year” in the Medium Market category. Syndicated personalities carried by stations in Syracuse, Utica and Ithaca are also nominated. 
SYRACUSE — New Country WOLF 105.1 is expanding and PD Skip Clark is on the prowl for some new talent. He tells CNYRadio.com he’s “looking to add some upbeat, fun, energetic, people who know, live and have passion for the country format. I know there is some very good local talent and I would love to hear from them.”

This year, Clear Channel’s B104.7 (WBBS) is up for medium market “Station of the Year.” Meantime, locally-owned New Country WOLF 105.1′s morning show is nominated for “Broadcast Personality of the Year.” SYRACUSE — Almost a year since “Yo! Sunny Joe” Allen exited Foxfur’s MOViN 100.3/96.5 (WMVN), he’s back on the air again. According to AllAccess, he just started this week doing afternoons for Saga-owned WKNE, a top-40 station in Keene, New Hampshire. SYRACUSE — Anyone who works in broadcasting knows there are certain times of the year you’re forbidden (or at least strongly discouraged) to take vacation. Those are usually the most important ratings or sweeps periods of the year. But in Syracuse, you can cross 12 more days off the calendar: The Great New York State Fair. In this “Mega Picture of the Week” we have not one, not ten, but 16 pictures from this year’s fair.
SYRACUSE — New Country WOLF 105.1/96.7 (WOLF-FM/WLLF-FM) has added the syndicated Music City Saturday Night to its programming schedule. The news was announced today on AllAccess.com.
SYRACUSE — They’ve been nominated time and time again for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, but still no prize for B104.7 (WBBS) morning co-hosts Tom Owens and Becky Palmer. Meantime, New Country WOLF 105.1 night host Cody Alan is named “Personality of the Year” on the national level. 
SYRACUSE — Geographically, they may be closer to Villanova, Pennsylvania, but spiritually, Big D and Bubba were rooting with the 34,616 fans in the Carrier Dome for the Orange to BEAT NOVA last Saturday night.
SYRACUSE — According to New Country WOLF 105.1′s Facebook page, Chili Palmer has been hired for middays. The name was mentioned in a status update at about 8:00pm Monday, but no bio or other details have been posted on the station website as of this writing (8:10pm). |
