SYRACUSE — He worked as an on-air personality, a programmer, and even a station owner. We regret to pass along the news that Don DeRosa lost his battle to cancer yesterday. Former colleague Jeff Moulton tells us DeRosa passed at about 4:30 yesterday afternoon — while friends and former colleagues gathered in Syracuse for a benefit to help cover DeRosa’s medical bills. The former WOSC 1300 AM, which has been WZZZ for the past fifteen years, is changing its call letters to WAMF. The Fulton station was bought by Don DeRosa earlier this month. [More »]

FULTON — Fulton’s WZZZ 1300 AM has been bought for $300,000 by a former manager of the station. Don DeRosa was general manager of the 1,000 watt AM, at the time known as WOSC, along with Magic 104.7, WKFM in the early 80′s.
