WATERTOWN — Despite the fact the numbers were recalculated after two in-tab diaries were discarded from the Fall 2009 survey period, there do not appear to be any major surprises in the latest Arbitron ratings released for the Watertown market… or in the re-issued Fall 2009 numbers.

NEW YORK CITY — When Kelly Ripa takes vacation in mid-August, there will be an empty seat on the long-running morning TV gabfest Live! With Regis and Kelly. To find substitutes, the show launched a “Women of Radio Co-Host for a Day” promotion. Listeners submitted their nominations, and today, syndicated AC night host Delilah, heard throughout Central New York, is among the top 100 finalists.
WATERTOWN — The Fall 2009 ratings are out for the Watertown market, and there are no big surprises: perennial leader Froggy 97 (WFRY) and its country format continue to lead the pack. CHR “The Border” (WBDR) appears to be gaining steam, but remains a distant second.
WATERTOWN — If you’ve ever checked out the remarkable collection of radio station legal IDs at tophour.com (aka “Toppy” for short) you may have noticed the site had no clips from Watertown. That changed today, as the site added more than a dozen Watertown IDs from 9 different stations. 
WATERTOWN — For the first time since Fall 2004, Arbitron has lifted its embargo on the Persons 12+ numbers for the Watertown market. One thing that clearly hasn’t changed since 2004: country music is still king in the North Country. 
SYRACUSE – Clear Channel AC Y94FM (WYYY) has moved the John Tesh Radio Show from evenings to afternoon drive. Self-described “sappy love song hostess” Delilah is trying her hand at something new — according to a newspaper in Washington state, she’s opened a new restaurant in her hometown. (Maybe a backup option in case the John Tesh Show finally does her in?) |
