UTICA/ROME — Dick Nellis, who worked at a number of Mohawk Valley stations including WLFH, WADR, WALY and WUTQ, has passed away. Nellis, who also worked at stations in the Hudson Valley region south of Albany, was 70. [More »]

UTICA/ROME — A month and a half after replacing local morning host Bill Keeler with the syndicated Bob and Tom Show, locally-owned 92.7 The Drive (WXUR) is making more big changes. The station has hired veteran programmer Tom Starr and veteran sales manager Chuck Hebbard. Changes to the station’s rock format will take effect tomorrow afternoon. [More »]

UTICA/ROME — Fans of former WXUR morning show host Bill Keeler waited more than a month to find out where they’d be able to hear Keeler in the Morning again. And last night, they found out: through a commercial which aired on Fox 33 (WFXV), Keeler announced he’s launching his own network of internet radio stations. [More »]

UTICA/ROME — Since we first reported longtime Utica personality Bill Keeler was fired from 92.7 The Drive (WXUR) on New Year’s Eve, fans have been showing their support in many ways. UTICA/ROME — According to a story on Utica Daily News, the online newspaper owned by Bill Keeler, his wakeup show on WXUR has been cancelled. The story says owner Mindy Barstein wants to put the syndicated Bob & Tom Show on mornings. Keeler was offered the chance to move to afternoons, but declined. UTICA/ROME — Longtime local radio host Bill Keeler wants to collect 20,000 donated toys for needy children over the next two weeks. He’s hoping a special concert tomorrow night at Utica’s Stanley Center for the Performing Arts will help him get at least 25% of the way to that goal.. [More »]
