Tom Langmyer new VP of KMOX, St. Louis

Former WSYR/WYYY operations director, Tom Langmyer, has been named vice president and general manager of St. Louis market leader KMOX AM. He moved from Syracuse to the news/talk station in 1992 to serve as program director and was named operations manager in 2000.

Langmyer is a nominee for a 2003 R&R News/Talk Industry Achievement Award as programmer of the year. KMOX was also nominated as News/Talk station of the year.Memo From: BETH DAVIS Senior Vice President/Infinity Broadcasting

Tom Langmyer has been named as Vice President/General Manager of KMOX effective immediately.

As KMOX Director of Operations for 10 years, Tom has led KMOX through a dynamic news era. He has the distinction of leading the prestigious staff to a national record for consecutive number one showing in Arbitron Ratings. KMOX has had 42 consecutive #1 ratings books since his arrival in 1992.

Tom is a 20-year, full-line broadcasting veteran. During his career, he has served as a program director, account executive, air personality, talk show host, news anchor/reporter, news director, technical director, sports commentator, and airborne traffic pilot/reporter. He has worked for several stations, including WGR-AM/FM and WBEN-AM/FM in Buffalo, NY and WTAE-AM in Pittsburgh, PA. He has also served as a consultant to WNEW-AM in New York and several other stations in a variety of music and talk formats. Before joining KMOX, he worked from 1986-1992 as Operations Director for NewCity
