Local stations tee off for charity

June 25, 2003 by Scott Jameson

It's that time of year again. Several Central New York radio stations are doing their part to raise money for charity by participating in area golf tournaments.

Oldies 92.1, TK-99, and the Syracuse Clear Channel stations are all gearing up for some time on the links for a good cause.Gary Dunes and Oldies 92.1 (WSEN) will broadcast live on Friday from the Shenandoah Golf Course at Turning Stone Casino, the site of this year's Coaches vs. Cancer Celebrity Golf Classic.

The Shenandoah course is also the home of TK-99's Gomez & Dave Playboy Scramble Golf Tournament to be held July 18th and benefiting the Foundation for Athletes Helping Kids.

And the Clear Channel Celebrity PCL Open, which benefits the Make a Wish Foundation, will be held at the Pompey Country Club on July 7.
