93Q, Ted & Amy top New Times poll

October 14, 2003 by Scott Jameson

93Q (WNTQ) and its morning show hosted by Ted Long and Amy Robbins have garnered top spots in the Syracuse New Times' annual readers' poll.

Ted & Amy picked up best local personalities and best local radio show honors, while 93Q topped K-Rock (WKRL/WRKH) and TK-99/105 (WTKW/WTKV) as best station as picked by New Times readers. And, as expected, 570 WSYR's Jim Reith won the honor as the city's best Destiny USA suckup.

WSYR's former news director, Bill Carey, also gets a mention in the category for best personal attack for his response to Syracuse University Dean David Rubin's now infamous letter to the editor in the Syracuse Post-Standard. The New Times felt Carey "responded with enough vitriol to give an iron lung heartburn."
