Ithaca is Gorges -- But Lacking Some Pipes

May 30, 2008 by CNYRadio.com

We'll take the blame for the cheesy headline -- we couldn't resist, but we hope it got your attention! I-100 (WIII) Program Director Mark Vanness says he's still looking for someone to fill the afternoon drive slot that's been vacant since Dan Ward announced his departure back in April.

After reviewing applications for about a month, Vanness tells CNYRadio.com he "just can't find the right person" and he's hoping another round of publicity might help. If you missed the original announcement or if you were on the fence about it before... here are the details once again.

if you know Classic Rock, can communicate in an adult manner to an adult audience and be topical then we want to hear from you! We love to have a great time on the radio and it shows, log onto our site and give us a look and listen before you apply, i100rocks.com. If you know Audio Vault and Vox Pro that would be a plus but not required. This position includes commercial production so we will need samples of that as well. You must be able to provide references, we will check them. Experience and enthusiasm a must! We are a Saga-owned radio station with top-dollar equipment in a 4-star facility.

Email your audio, history, references and cover letter to Mvanness@cyradiogroup.com or snail mail me ASAP to the following address:

Mark Vanness
1751 Hanshaw Road
Ithaca, NY 14850

Don’t waste your time putting together fancy packages, I want just the facts. Let’s rock!
