Several Changes at Z95.5

November 25, 2008 by CNYRadio.com

ITHACA - Since the unfortunate passing of former PD Tommy Frank last month, there have been a number of changes on the lineup at Ithaca's Z95.5 (WFIZ).

Earlier, we told you nighttime jock Justin Wright moved from nights to mornings, and was promoted from APD to PD.  Since then, Wright tells AllAccess.com former morning co-host Heather B "left to go back to Montreal, her hometown, for a full-time gig there [and] Stacy Scott has come in from 95.9 KISS FM in Youngstown to cohost and do middays."

And as of yesterday, Wright tells R&R Scott's talent and dedication to Z95.5 has earned her a promotion to APD.

The station has also added the syndicated "Weekend Throwdown" show, hosted by Jagger from ClearChannel's WKTU in New York City.  WFIZ will air the show on Saturday Nights.  That brings the affiliate count for "Throwdown" to at least ten stations, with WFIZ being the first in CNYRadio.com land to sign up (the next-nearest affiliate is WFLY/Albany).

  1. It's too bad that they didn't hire Kevin English here in Ithaca, NY he is THE Radio GOD!!! I can't tell you how many people turned off the radio and turned to XM or Sirius to listen to their music. He was number 1 in Ithaca for 13 years, don't they know how badly he is wanted back? He would bring a lot of people with him if he were back on the radio. Everyone I talked to misses him even today 2 years later has to say something about how loved he is here. I know that I would come back from listening to a radio station in Binghamton if he were brought in!
