Talking Stimulus with WRVO

May 28, 2009 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE - Is the federal economic stimulus package making a difference for Central New York?  That'll be the focus of the next WRVO Community Forum on Monday in Syracuse.  And you're invited to watch the discussion live in person, free of charge.

WRVO's Jason Smith will moderate the panel, which includes Congressman Dan Maffei (D-25) and Dr. Ranjit S. Dighe, Associate Professor of Economics at SUNY Oswego.  The discussion will look specifically at how (or whether?) the economic stimulus package has benefitted Central New Yorkers.

The debate will take place at the SUNY Oswego Metro Center, located in the Atrium building in downtown Syracuse.  No reservations are required, admission is free, and seating is first-come, first-serve.  Doors open at 6:30pm and the taping will begin promptly at 7:00pm sharp.

The program will be taped for later broadcast.  As of this writing, WRVO has not specified when the program will air, but it will be offered on both WRVO-1 and WRVO-2, so you know you'll have at least a couple chances to catch it.

WRVO-1 is simulcast throughout the region 24/7 on WRVD, WRVN and WRVJ, and there is a part-time simulcast on SUNY Cortland's WSUC.  WRVO-2 is only available on-air as the HD secondary channel of the main WRVO signal from Oswego.  Both channels also stream online at wrvo.fm.
