WSYR Radiothon Breaks New Record

December 4, 2009 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE -- Newsradio 570 WSYR's two-day radiothon to benefit the Golisano Children's Hospital at University Hospital raised its biggest total yet -- the $104,850 raised not only broke a record, but it's double the amount raised last year.

That's the word this morning from Joe Galuski, host of Central New York's Morning News.  The radiothon wrapped up last night at the conclusion of The Jim Reith Show.  (Our thanks to Joe for the update; due to a prior commitment we did not have access to a radio when the fundraiser ended.)

As the Golisano Children's Hospital is a member of the Children's Miracle Network, every dollar pledged during the WSYR radiothon will stay local.  CMN's national sponsors cover any overhead costs, allowing local donations to remain in their home community.
