93Q's Ted & Amy Host New WCNY-TV Show

December 12, 2009 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE -- They've been together on the radio for more than 20 years, and you've even seen them on TV here and there throughout the years.  Now, 93Q (WNTQ) morning hosts Ted Long and Amy Robbins are back on the tube, hosting a new show called WCNY Connected.

We apologize we missed the memo on this one (well, nobody sent us a copy of the memo), but according to the Syracuse Post-Standard, the new show debuted on December 3 and it will continue to air Thursdays at 9pm on local PBS affiliate WCNY-TV 24.

The show's official webpage says topics will include "cooking, the arts and events happening all over Central New York."

Earlier this year, Ted & Amy got some camera time as guest hosts on WSYR-TV's Bridge Street, following the sudden departure of co-host Rick Gary.  The mid-morning gabfest's other co-host, longtime local news anchor Carrie Lazarus, does not work Fridays.  The radio duo was tapped to fill in on Fridays until more permanent arrangements could be put in place.

Longtime residents of the area may also remember Long and Robbins once hosted a TV show together on "Time Warner 13."  The local origination channel was scrapped nearly 10 years ago as the cable company prepared to debut its 24-hour local news channel, "News 10 Now."
