Mars Hill Network Celebrates Black History Month

February 4, 2012 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE -- The Mars Hill Network, based at flagship station 102.9 WMHR, is observing Black History Month with brief vignettes airing twice each weekday throughout February.  You can hear the segments, titled "Treasured Moments in Black History," at 7:40am and 6:20pm.

A few other brief items to pass along from Mars Hill:

  • A newly-redesigned web site is now up and running at www.marshillnetwork.org.  Aside from a slick new layout, the new web site features a new streaming media player.
  •  The next meeting of the Christian Professional Media Alliance is set for Wednesday, February 8 from 11:30am to 1:00pm at Denny's on 7th North Street in Liverpool.  The meeting itself is free to attend, but lunch is self-pay.

And last week, CNYRadio.com reported that Mars Hill is accepting job applications for a new program director.  We wondered why the job posting said the position could be "part or full-time."  GM Wayne Taylor answered that question -- if you haven't caught it, we've updated that story from last Saturday with his response.
