Fulton's WAMF switches to country

September 12, 2002 by Scott Jameson

FULTON - It's Patsy Cline and George Jones for 'The New AM 1300'. Fulton's WAMF 1300 AM (formerly WOSC and WZZZ) is up and running with a new format of traditional country music with Don DeRosa, the station's new owner, handling morning show duties.

WAMF features a blend of new and older country music with the morning show leaning more toward classic country standards. DeRosa, a former manager of the station in the mid 1980s, purchased WAMF in April for $300,000.
