Ithaca's Q-Country 103.7 Seeks Afternoon Host

February 15, 2012 by CNYRadio.com

ITHACA/CORTLAND -- The search is on for a new afternoon host at Q-Country 103.7 (WQNY), after Marty Brandon exited the station this week for new job outside of radio.  That leaves Chris Allinger juggling existing talent while he screens candidates for Brandon's position and one other key vacancy in the Cayuga Radio Group cluster.

Allinger, morning host for WQNY and ops manager for the entire cluster, says Brandon left "very amicably," for the aforementioned new job, located in Albany.  He credited Brandon for filling-in on Q-Country's morning show for the last couple of weeks, allowing Allinger to substitute-host the Morning News Watch on news/talk sister station WHCU 870AM / 95.9 FM.   That position has been vacant since Dave Vieser resigned late last month.

Allinger tells CNYRadio.com that Brandon's departure "puts me back on Q and Geoff Dunn is hosting on WHCU while that position is being filled."

Here's the official job posting as spotted today on national radio industry website AllAccess.com:
