Old GM is the New GM at Ithaca's Z95.5

March 8, 2012 by CNYRadio.com

ITHACA/CORTLAND -- Frank Lischak is back for his second tour of duty as General Manager of Z95.5 (WFIZ). Lischak was GM when the station launched in 2008, ending a stretch of 15+ years during which the Ithaca market had no CHR-formatted radio stations.

ROI Broadcasting's Alan Bishop tells CNYRadio.com that former GM Sean Cowley exited "due to family considerations," and has returned to his home town.

Cowley's arrival last June paved the way for Lischak to become VP of Sales for Finger Lakes Radio Groups stations in Auburn, Geneva, Dundee and Canandaigua. Bishop tells CNYRadio.com that Lischak "will continue his sales management role in the FLRG Auburn office," in addition to serving as GM of Z95.5.

For now, Bishop says he'll be handling sales management responsibilities for the other three Finger Lakes Radio Group offices.
