SYRACUSE -- Starting tomorrow at noon, owners of HDRadio tuners will be able to tune in holiday-themed jazz anytime, night or day. Classic FM (WCNY) is offering "The Sounds of Christmas Jazz" non-stop through Christmas Day on its HD3 stations in Syracuse, Utica and Watertown.
ITHACA/CORTLAND -- While your editor was away on vacation, the long-awaited debut of new radio station WITH 90.1 took place on Monday. The joint venture between Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva and WXXI in Rochester also offers an HD2 channel.
ITHACA/CORTLAND -- It's a special edition of the locally-produced Homemade Jam this weekend on rocker I-100 (WIII). The show will be paying tribute to Cortland native and rock star Ronnie James Dio, who died this past Monday at the age of 67. SYRACUSE -- Listeners of the NPR programming on 89.9 WRVO's Syracuse repeater, WRVD 90.3, now have the ability to hear both WRVO's main feed, and the "WRVO Extra" HD2 feed.
SYRACUSE -- Clear Channel's Newsradio 570 WSYR is sounding a lot clearer these days for listeners who have an HD Radio receiver. Observant CNYRadio.com readers report the station is now offered on the HD2 channel of sister station Power 106.9 (WPHR).
