Radio Disney Stays as WAMF Becomes WOSW

SYRACUSE — More often than not, when a radio station changes its call letters, that’s usually a hint (or an after-effect) of a format change.  But at 1300AM from Fulton, this is one of those “not” cases.  After nearly ten years in the FCC record books as WAMF, the Radio Disney affiliate owned by Cram Communications is still running Radio Disney, but it’s now officially known as WOSW.

FCC Reverses $7,000 Order Against Former WAMF Owner

FULTON — The Federal Communications Commission today released a ruling made on Friday, that it would cancel a $7,000 “forfeiture” it had levied in 2007 against Fulton station WAMF 1300 for licensing violations. WAMF studios destroyed by fire

Investigators are looking into the cause of Sunday’s blaze that destroyed three businesses in Fulton including the studios of WAMF 1300 AM.
