CC changes in Utica-Rome

UTICA-ROME — On the heels of last month’s format switch at WUCL, comes word of several staffing changes at the Clear Channel cluster in Utica-Rome.

Stew Schantz is out as operations manager at Kiss-FM (WSKS/WSKU), while Kiss afternoon jock Stephen Lawrence (aka “Roadrunner”) takes over as program director there and at Mix 102.5 (WUMX).

Also, Tom Starr is back in the PD chair at 96.9 WOUR as well as programming The River, where he holds down the midday air shift.

The River has also flipped its call letters from WUCL to WOKR.
