Bug Country Catches Holiday Fever

Bug Country Catches Holiday Fever

UTICA-ROME — There are two more places on the FM dial to find wall-to-wall holiday tunes in the Mohawk Valley starting today — the pair of “Bug Country” stations owned by Roser Communications Network.  But WBGK/Newport and WBUG/Fort Plain are remaining in-format…

It’s an “all-country Christmas” lineup.  That’s the phrase morning man Dave Silvers used when telling CNYRadio.com about the change.  This makes Bug Country the second station in the market to go all-Christmas, and the fourth so far overall among the four markets covered by CNYRadio.com.

On November 2nd, Galaxy’s Mix 102.5 (WUMX) was the first Utica station to go all-Christmas, at the same time as sister station Sunny 102.1 (WZUN) in Syracuse.  Last week, Clear Channel’s Y94FM (WYYY) became the second station in Syracuse to make the jump.
