The station is seeking a “Director of Regional Content Development,” as well as a technology reporter for the ongoing Innovation Trail program. The third job is a “swing” position involving a combination of duties. There’s also word of a new satellite studio to open in downtown Syracuse next year.
Here are links to the official job postings from WRVO’s website:
- Director of Regional Content Development – to manage news operations and serve as reporter/host/producer of regional news and public affairs coverage.
- Innovation Trail Technology Reporter – beat reporter focusing on innovation and technology and their impact on the upstate New York economy.
- Swing Producer Position – To assist in broadcast operations and to prepare graphics and other promotional materials.
New Satellite Studio Coming to Syracuse
While there’s been no “official” announcement (to the best of our knowledge, anyway), the first of the two job postings listed above says “a satellite studio and offices are scheduled to open in downtown Syracuse in early 2012.” No other details yet on the exact plans for those studios.
