After carrying Sox baseball last season, ESPN Radio 97.7/100.1 (WTLA/WSGO) is now hedging its bets with Mets fans. The station announced on Friday that it’ll be Syracuse’s radio home for the New York Mets this coming season.

SYRACUSE — The rumors have been swirling ever since NewsChannel 9′s Steve Infanti joined the cast of ESPN Radio’s weekday afternoon talk show back in August… and now those rumors are confirmed. Starting Monday, Upon Further Review will be simulcast on television. Fans will be able to listen on the radio, or watch on digital channel 9.2.
SYRACUSE — There are two new but familiar voices on ESPN Radio CNY’s Disturbing the Peace. Sports director Steve Infanti from ABC affiliate NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV) is now a co-host, along with former SU football star Donovin Darius. The two new hosts share the studio with ESPN Radio program director and original host Chris McManus as the weekday afternoon show expands to a third hour.
SYRACUSE — This morning’s intense storms are to blame for taking ESPN Radio 97.7 and 100.1 off the air for much of Thursday. (Updated Friday 6/24 at 8:00am — the stations are back on the air.) 
SYRACUSE — Radio versus TV… who will win? You can see for yourself tonight when local broadcasting personalities from CNYCentral (WSTM/WTVH) television take on colleagues from Galaxy Communications radio. They’ll be playing basketball to raise money for Golisano Children’s Hospital and for a local school teacher who’s battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
SYRACUSE — The new afternoon show Disturbing the Peace was supposed to debut yesterday on The New ESPN Radio (WTLA/WSGO/W249BC/W259AX). But listeners who tuned in during the advertised 2-6pm timeslot heard ESPN network programming instead. We checked in with Galaxy Communications management to see what happened.
SYRACUSE — The New ESPN Radio (WTLA/WSGO and 97.7/100.1FM) will soon come through on its promise to expand upon locally-originated programming. Disturbing the Peace will air during afternoon drive, starting Monday, May 17. The show will be co-hosted primarily by Chris McManus and Anthony Riccobono. 
SYRACUSE — The slate of Syracuse Press Club Award winners has been announced… and not one commercial radio station appears on the list. In fact, all of the radio awards — including the Career Achievement Award — are being divvied up amongst two public stations. |
