NEW YORK CITY — When Kelly Ripa takes vacation in mid-August, there will be an empty seat on the long-running morning TV gabfest Live! With Regis and Kelly. To find substitutes, the show launched a “Women of Radio Co-Host for a Day” promotion. Listeners submitted their nominations, and today, syndicated AC night host Delilah, heard throughout Central New York, is among the top 100 finalists.

SYRACUSE — Even though her old affiliate, Lite Rock 105.9 (WLTI) is now an all-talk station, Delilah’s still on the air in Syracuse. Listeners who like to “slow down and love someone” with the popular syndicated hostess just need to slide their radios down to Y94FM (WYYY). 
Stations all over the country have been paying tribute to Michael Jackson, since the news broke of the singer’s sudden death at the age of 50 on Thursday. Several in Central New York were among them, including at least two that threw out their regular formats to play the King of Pop’s hits exclusively. 
SYRACUSE — Nearly four months after longtime WLTI morning host Dave Allen was let go, it appears Lite Rock 105.9 has a new permanent morning show team in place. It’s the syndicated Bob & Sheri show.
SYRACUSE – Clear Channel AC Y94FM (WYYY) has moved the John Tesh Radio Show from evenings to afternoon drive.
Lite Rock 105.9 (WLTI) morning host and program director Dave Allen has exited the station, and Citadel has started the search for a replacement. (Updated at 5:10pm with confirmation from Citadel management.) Self-described “sappy love song hostess” Delilah is trying her hand at something new — according to a newspaper in Washington state, she’s opened a new restaurant in her hometown. (Maybe a backup option in case the John Tesh Show finally does her in?) A day after Premiere Radio Networks announced the cancellation of Leeza Gibbons’ Hollywood Confidential, we find out the reason why. Gibbons has signed with Westwood One to host a five-hour nightly show called Leeza at Night. Delilah, the evening darling of light adult contemporary stations across the country, is switching syndicators. Premiere Radio Networks has signed the night personality who got her start with Jones Radio Networks. |
