CENTRAL NEW YORK — All this week we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of CNYRadio.com with a series of special reports. Yesterday, several folks who’ve been in local radio for 10+ years explained why they feel consolidation was “the” biggest story from the past decade. Despite the negative side of consolidation, most radio pros are optimistic for what’s ahead. Today, we share their predictions for the next ten years.

UTICA-ROME — Jesse Jordan has been dropped from the lineup at Roser CHR Kiss-FM (WSKS/WSKU). The midday personality, who also doubled as Promotions Director, says she was let go because she refused to be moved to the morning drive timeslot. 
UTICA-ROME — Barely a month since he was hired to host mornings at KISS-FM (WSKS/WSKU), Eric Thomas tells CNYRadio.com he was given his walking papers today because management “didn’t like the direction of the show.” He has also blogged about the situation. 
Updated 7:20pm - UTICA-ROME — After a full weekend of saying goodbye to Kiss FM (WSKS/WSKU), the station is back to normal — with a new morning show host — much to the relief of loyal listeners who started calling to vent their frustrations after a fake launch of “Beautiful Music” hit the air this morning.
