SYRACUSE — There will be a new radio home for minor league baseball’s Syracuse Chiefs this season: The Score 1260 (WSKO). The news was just announced this afternoon during On the Block with Brent Axe. Jason Benetti, who called the games last year, will return for his second season behind the mic. [More »]

SYRACUSE — Play-by-play broadcasts of Syracuse Crunch hockey will have a new home starting this fall. The team has signed a deal with Citadel Broadcasting’s The Score 1260 (WSKO), ending a long-lasting partnership with Clear Channel’s Sportsradio 620 WHEN. [More »]

SYRACUSE — The New ESPN Radio (WTLA/WSGO and 97.7/100.1FM) will soon come through on its promise to expand upon locally-originated programming. SYRACUSE — A number of changes first announced in December finally took place today. ESPN Radio has changed its Syracuse affiliation over from Citadel’s WSKO (formerly WNSS) 1260 over to a four-station simulcast including two AMs and two FM translators owned by Galaxy. [More »]

SYRACUSE — Big news from the Citadel camp on James Street this afternoon: the station confirms WNSS will remain a sports-talker branded as “The Score 1260″ as of March 5th. Even more of a surprise: Lite Rock 105.9 will be flipped to an FM talk format, branded as “105.9 The Big Talker.” [More »]
