WATERTOWN — Despite the fact the numbers were recalculated after two in-tab diaries were discarded from the Fall 2009 survey period, there do not appear to be any major surprises in the latest Arbitron ratings released for the Watertown market… or in the re-issued Fall 2009 numbers.
WATERTOWN — The Fall 2009 ratings are out for the Watertown market, and there are no big surprises: perennial leader Froggy 97 (WFRY) and its country format continue to lead the pack. CHR “The Border” (WBDR) appears to be gaining steam, but remains a distant second.
WATERTOWN — Reginald James Pettiford, perhaps better known by his on-air nickname “Jimbo,” has passed away. The afternoon drive personality from Classic Hits Z93 (WCIZ) was 56 years old. Updated 12/24 at 11am with arrangements.
WATERTOWN — If you’ve ever checked out the remarkable collection of radio station legal IDs at tophour.com (aka “Toppy” for short) you may have noticed the site had no clips from Watertown. That changed today, as the site added more than a dozen Watertown IDs from 9 different stations.
WATERTOWN — The Spring 2009 Arbitron ratings for the Watertown market are out, and the “public” Persons 12+ numbers show Stephens Media Group’s Froggy 97 (WFRY) maintaining a very comfortable lead over the competition. 
WATERTOWN — It’s a double dose of something we haven’t seen in many a Friday around here: pictures from the North Country, and pictures from the past. Tunes 92-5 (WBLH) afternoon host Johnny Keegan sends in a shot from his very first remote, and another bonus blast from the past. 
WATERTOWN — Good news for fans of “Matt Mc’s Sports Fix” on ESPN 1410 The Winner (WNER). Starting Monday, the show doubles in length, by starting an hour earlier. It’ll air weekdays from 4-6pm.
WATERTOWN — At a time when many stations are cutting costs by replacing local talent with syndication, one station is doing just the opposite. Watertown’s ESPN Radio 1410 (WNER) launches a new live, local sports talk show next Monday. 
WATERTOWN — For the first time since Fall 2004, Arbitron has lifted its embargo on the Persons 12+ numbers for the Watertown market. One thing that clearly hasn’t changed since 2004: country music is still king in the North Country. |
